Riu Bambu Resort, Dominican Republic, 2016
We're concerned to hear of guests falling ill with symptoms of gastric illness while on holiday at the Riu Bambu Resort in the Dominican Republic in 2016.
Our International Personal Injury team has been contacted by a couple who travelled to the resort. The family report that during their stay one member developed severe diarrhoea, abdominal cramps, nausea and lethargy.
The holidaymakers noted that the food was on occasions undercooked, not kept at an adequate temperature and of a poor quality. They also advised that food was at times left uncovered for long periods of time resulting in flies landing on the food.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness, we know first-hand the potential long term conditions that can be associated with it, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
If you also travelled to the Riu Bambu Resort in the Dominican Republic and subsequently suffered symptoms of illness, we'd like to hear from you. We specialise in dealing with cases of this nature and could help you claim compensation.
