Sirenis Punta Cana Resort, Dominican Republic, 2016

We are concerned to hear of guests falling ill with gastric symptoms while on holiday at the Sirenis Punta Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic.

Despite positive reviews of the hotel online, our International Personal Injury team is also aware that some holidaymakers have fallen ill following their stay at the hotel. Holidaymakers have reported that they suffered with gastric symptoms including abdominal pain, diarrhoea and vomiting.

Some holidaymakers complained of the food and reported that the selection of the buffet was limited and repetitive. Another holidaymaker occasionally witnessed flies landing upon the food. Further complaints related to the swimming pool as it appeared ‘dirty’ with the water being so cloudy that the bottom of the pool could not be seen.

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness, we know first-hand the potential long term conditions that can be associated with it, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

If you also travelled to Sirenis Punta Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic and subsequently suffered symptoms of illness, we'd like to hear from you. We specialise in dealing with cases of this nature and could help you claim compensation.

For more information on making a holiday illness claim, contact us on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will call you back.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
