We are concerned to hear of guests falling ill with gastric symptoms while on holiday at the Sirenis Punta Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic.
Despite positive reviews of the hotel online, our International Personal Injury team is also aware that some holidaymakers have fallen ill following their stay at the hotel. Holidaymakers have reported that they suffered with gastric symptoms including abdominal pain, diarrhoea and vomiting.
Some holidaymakers complained of the food and reported that the selection of the buffet was limited and repetitive. Another holidaymaker occasionally witnessed flies landing upon the food. Further complaints related to the swimming pool as it appeared ‘dirty’ with the water being so cloudy that the bottom of the pool could not be seen.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools.
