The Holiday Village Golden Beach

Irwin Mitchell has once again learnt that a number of holidaymakers staying at Holiday Village Golden Beach resort in Dominican Republic resort are returning from their holidays complaining of severe gastric illness.

Most recent reports of illness are from November 2011, however, we are acting for guests who holidayed at the Holiday Village Golden Beach Resort from previous years who also fell ill with severe gastric symptoms. It is shocking to learn that we continue to receive further reports of illness that holidaymakers have suffered whilst holidaying at the resort.

Guests have complained about the food provided at the resort in respect of the temperature it was served. Guests also complained about the food being inadequately stored. In particular, the guests were concerned about the food hygiene standard at the resort. Reports indicate that the cause of the gastric illnesses may have been due to the poor quality of food and lack of hygiene standards practised at the hotel.
