WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY

"The team has so many contacts with foreign insurers and so many people with foreign languages that it is miles ahead of others."

Tropical Beach Resort & Spa, 2016

We’re concerned to hear recent reports of guests falling ill with gastric symptoms while on holiday at the Tropical Princess Beach Resort & Spa in the Dominican Republic in February and March 2016.

Though the hotel received some positive reviews, other holidaymakers reported falling ill during their stay there. They claimed that the “hot food wasn’t very hot” and conversely that some of the cold food was “lukewarm”. Other guests describe suffering gastric symptoms – among them, a child with suspected salmonella.

Gastric symptoms can vary, from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. We have significant experience helping those unlucky enough to contract gastric illness while on holiday and are very aware of the complications that can develop because of such illness, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The effects can sometimes develop into a problem that is long-term, or even permanent.
If you also travelled to the Tropical Princess Beach Resort & Spa in the Dominican Republic and have subsequently been ill, we’d like to hear from you. We specialise in dealing with cases like this and can advise you on claiming compensation for your trip.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
