Irwin Mitchell has been approached to act for two people who went on holiday to the Continental Plaza Beach Resort Hotel, Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt.
Holidaymakers have complained of the restaurant area being very unhygienic with dirty crockery, plates and chipped glasses. The food that was served looked undercooked. At one stage our clients saw the juice of a raw chicken being dripped into the juice of a cooked chicken. Bread rolls which had dropped on to the floor were picked up by the restaurant staff and placed back into the bowl. Food was left uncovered with birds flying around the restaurant and at one stage a rat was seen running across the restaurant floor. Public toilets in the hotel were soiled and dirty and were not cleaned by the hotel staff. Instead they were locked and unusable.
Holidaymakers were disgusted and shocked with their stay at the Continental Plaza Beach hotel. They have complained of gastric symptoms consisting of sickness, diarrhoea, abdominal pain and extreme weight loss.
