Irwin Mitchell is currently acting for  a number  holidaymakers who were affected by illness at the Grand Plaza Resort in Egypt in 2009 and 2010.
Guests have complained about being struck by gastric symptoms including vomiting and diarrhoea. It is alleged that food at the hotel was poor and concerns relating to hygiene at the hotel have also been raised.   For example, fish did not look cooked properly and food appeared to be reheated and served up on more than one occasion. The conditions at the hotel and epidemiology described would indicate that the likely source of the infection was contaminated food provided as part of their package holiday.
