The International Personal Injury Team at Irwin Mitchell are concerned to learn of recent reports of guests falling ill with gastric symptoms during holidays taken at the Grand Rotana Resort & Spa in Egypt in September 2015. 

Despite positive reviews, Irwin Mitchell has read reports regarding holidaymakers who fell ill during a stay at the hotel. The guests have said that some of the food was “repetitive” and it was felt that the food was “reheated and re-presented” Other holidaymakers report falling ill with diarrhoea and stomach cramps, including a party of five with a child hospitalised.  

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness, Irwin Mitchell know first-hand the potential long term complications like post-infective irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
