Hilton Hurghada Plaza

The International Personal Injury team at Irwin Mitchell are conducting investigations into the Hilton Hurghada Plaza in Egypt on behalf of holidaymakers who became ill at the resort in November 2014.

Despite some positive reviews, we have received negative reports regarding the hygiene standards at the hotel. Guests have said that on occasion chefs allowed people to take meat from the buffet which was not thoroughly cooked, utensils were sometimes swapped between different foods whilst staff watched and food was often handled by guests before being placed back on the buffet. In addition, flies were often allowed to land on the bread section.

Other holidaymakers described the hotel as being run down with scruffy furniture and unclean rooms. Some of the food at the hotel has been described as repetitive, poor quality and as not being served at the correct temperature. Some of the wine and beer was reported as being watered down.

We are concerned to learn of reports of illness with similar symptoms being described to those of food poisoning. We have significant experience in handling holiday illness claims and will be investigating the cause of illness on behalf of those who have contacted us to discover why they fell sick.
