Irwin Mitchell has received reports of holidaymakers who have suffered illness during their stay at the Hilton Sharks Bay Resort, Egypt, in June 2015.

The tourists reported suffering with stomach cramps and diarrhoea during their holiday. The guests say that upon returning home and seeking medical advice, they were both diagnosed with salmonella and continue to suffer from diarrhoea and severe stomach cramps.

Despite a number of positive reviews, the couple say that on occasions food appeared re-heated and sometimes food did not appear hot enough. The holidaymakers also report seeing birds in the outside restaurant bread baskets. 

The holidaymakers sought treatment from a local pharmacy due to the symptoms they were suffering from. 

Irwin Mitchell helped holidaymakers pursue a claim following their holidays taken at the Hilton Sharks Bay Resort in 2009 and 2011. Irwin Mitchell secured a four-figure sum in settlement for three of the holidaymakers who travelled to the hotel in 2011.
