Holiday Sickness In Egypt

Irwin Mitchell’s leading travel litigation group are concerned to read reports of holidaymakers suffering from illness during their stay at the Tropicana Grand Azure resort in Egypt.
Most recent reports of illness are from 2013, but we are acting for clients who holidayed at the Tropicana Grand Azure resort in the summers of 2009, 2010 and 2011 who also fell ill with severe gastric symptoms.
It is alarming to learn that such problems continue at the hotel, with recent accounts suggesting that holidaymakers have contracted serious bacterial infections such as salmonella. Reports indicate that the cause of the gastric illnesses may have been due to the poor quality of food hygiene standards practised at the hotel with accounts of insects around some of the food serving stations.
A further holidaymaker reports that they complained that two members of their party fell ill suffering with symptoms of stomach cramping, vomiting and diarrhoea. The holidaymaker raised further concerns that no onsite medical treatment was offered. Upon return to the UK, one member of the party was diagnosed as having confirmed salmonella poisoning.
