Hotel Tropicana Club Azure, Sharm El Sheikh
Irwin Mitchell has become increasingly concerned after receiving further reports of gastric illness amongst holidaymakers after staying at the Hotel Tropicana Club Azure Hotel, Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt during various dates in 2010. Most recently, reports of illness relate to guests who stayed at the hotel during May.
Guests at the hotel have suffered with symptoms of gastric illness, some with confirmed diagnoses of shigella, which are likely to be linked to food consumed as part of an all inclusive package. Complaints from guests suggest that there was a breakdown in health and hygiene standards at the hotel, particularly relating to the food provided by the hotel. Other complaints which have been alleged include food being served cold and birds being seen in and around the restaurant.
Irwin Mitchell is currently acting on behalf of a number of clients who holidayed at the hotel in 2010 and would urge other victims of illness who holidayed at this hotel to contact us. We are concerned that this problem is ongoing as we are aware of illness amongst holidaymakers who travelled to the hotel in 2009.
