Sixth Consecutive Year Of Illness At Holiday Village Red Sea, Egypt
The International Travel Litigation team at Irwin Mitchell, who have represented over 250 holidaymakers following trips to the Holiday Village Red Sea since 2007 including people who suffered from cryptosporidium, salmonella, shigella, campylobacter and E.coli, are concerned following reports of a fresh illness outbreak in summer 2012.
Holidaymakers who took legal action after their trips to a notorious Egyptian resort were ruined by gastric illness have expressed their anger at new reports of problems.
Irwin Mitchell’s specialist lawyers say the latest complaints echo those made by over 250 tourists after their holidays were ruined by outbreaks of illness at the Holiday Village Red Sea in Sharm El Sheikh in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
As well as complaints about substandard and undercooked food, guests have complained about having to endure acute pain and discomfort over a prolonged period including sickness, diarrhoea and severe stomach cramps. Many of those affected received treatment and in some cases whole families were struck down with illness.
