Illness at Three Corners Fayrouz Plaza, Egypt

It has been reported that holiday makers have become ill with symptoms of gastric illness after staying at the Three Corners Fayrouz Plaza in Egypt in July 2009.

Guests have reportedly become ill with symptoms of gastric illness possibly due to poor standards of hygiene at the hotel. Guests claim that meat items - in particular chicken - were pink inside when served and many of the buffet dishes were undercooked. Guests allege that there were many insects on and around the food. The hygiene standards were reportedly poor and guests noticed that the raw food was placed next to the cooked food on a griddle. Sometimes the raw food was mixed with the cooked food and served to guests.

Irwin Mitchell LLP has been instructed by the Darlow family from Blackpool who travelled to the Three Corners Fayrouz Plaza Beach Resort in July 2009.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
