Nubian Village Hotel, Egypt 2011

Irwin Mitchell is concerned for holidaymakers who have stayed at the Nubian Village Hotel, Egypt, during July 2011 after reading reports of illness at the hotel. One holidaymaker has reported that she believed her illness was due to the health and hygiene standards practised at the hotel.  

It has been reported that the conditions at the Nubian Village Hotel in Egypt have not changed since previous reports of illness as we still have clients complaining about symptoms relating to gastric illness. There continue to be reports of breakdowns in health and hygiene practices at the resort including but not limited to rehashed and uncooked food. It often appeared that the same food was being served upon more than one occasion. Holidaymakers also report uncovered and repetitive food and a lack of sympathetic tour representatives.  

Guests holidaying at the resort were falling ill with symptoms of stomach cramps, diarrhoea and vomiting. It is possible that the illnesses were due to a breakdown in food hygiene and food handling procedures.
