Jaz Aquaviva Resort, Hurghada - 2016

We've been contacted by holidaymakers who have suffered gastrointestinal illness following their stay at the Jaz Aquaviva Hotel in Hurghada, Egypt, in June 2016. Their symptoms included diarrhoea and vomiting.

The tourists noticed that much of the food served in the hotel restaurant appeared to have been uncovered for periods of time. They also complained that hot food was often not served at the correct temperature. Food served in the restaurant - such as burgers - appeared to be undercooked. The holidaymakers reported that food appeared to have been served on more than one occasion and new food was often added to food that was already out. They also noticed insects in the restaurant.
