Irwin Mitchell is concerned to learn that holidaymakers who have recently holidayed on board the Mahrousa Nile Cruise are returning from their holidays suffering from symptoms of gastric illness. The International Travel Litigation Team at Irwin Mitchell have now been approached by a client to recover damages for the illness he sustained.
It is reported that holidaymakers were falling ill within a few days of boarding the cruise liner. They experienced symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting, fevers and shakes. It is suggested that there was a lack of hygiene, particularly in relation to food handling procedures. Many guests were restricted to their cabins as they were incapacitated from their illness.
There was illness throughout the ship and the ship’s staff were giving out large yellow tablets to guests who were suffering from the symptoms.
