Ocean Club Hotel, Sharm El Sheikh
Irwin Mitchell has received reports of holidaymakers returning from the Ocean Club Hotel, Sharm El Sheikh, in Egypt suffering from symptoms of gastric illness following their stay at the hotel in January 2011.
It has been reported by one holidaymaker that he and his partner fell ill with some sort of stomach bug, resulting in them having to avoid dairy products whilst staying at the hotel. This illness may be due to the poor quality of food and lack of hygiene standards practised at the hotel.
In addition to the illness, the holidaymaker experienced a number of maintenance problems whilst staying at the hotel. It is reported that there was a spike protruding the wall in the bathroom, causing an obvious hazard, especially when the shower would over flow, causing the bathroom to become more of a wet room.
