Irwin Mitchell is concerned to read of a report from a holidaymaker who has been diagnosed with salmonella poisoning following their stay at the Park Inn, Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt in June 2013.

The holidaymaker complained of suffering with severe diarrhoea and on return to the UK a stool sample was taken and sent for testing the results of which are reported as confirming salmonella poisoning. Although the origin of the illness is unknown at present, there are concerns that the cause may be a result of a breakdown in food hygiene standards at the hotel. The holidaymaker reports that they only consumed food at the hotel during their stay.

Irwin Mitchell have successfully concluded a claim against a tour operator on behalf of holidaymakers that fell ill whilst staying at the Park Inn, Sharm El Sheikh, in the summer of 2009.
