Illness At The Rixos Hotel, Sharm el Sheikh

Irwin Mitchell has been contacted by a British holidaymaker who fell ill with stomach cramps and diarrhoea whilst staying at the Rixos Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt. The stay which was booked on an all inclusive basis took place in late November 2014.

The holidaymaker sought medical treatment from a doctor whilst at the hotel after becoming ill a couple of days into their stay and was advised to take anti diarrhoea tablets. 

Despite positive reviews, the holidaymaker noticed that some hot food was served lukewarm and some of the food was served uncovered. Another guest who stayed at the hotel in November this year described food which was “not fit to eat” and poor service.
