Rixos Sharm El Sheikh

Irwin Mitchell has received reports of illness contracted by guests during their stay at the Rixos Sharm El Sheikh Hotel, Egypt, in June 2014.

Despite some positive reviews holidaymakers have reported suffering from gastric illnesses. One holidaymaker has said that the gastric symptoms they suffered from were so bad, that they were admitted to the on site medical centre. The holidaymaker says that the rest of the party also suffered from gastric symptoms of diarrhoea and stomach cramps. They say how their partner was unable to leave the house upon return home, other than to visit the GP. The holidaymaker also complains that the holiday was meant to be a celebration of the couple’s anniversary but was ruined due to the illness. 

Another couple also have commented on how they became ill whilst staying at the above hotel which not only ruined their holiday but also their honeymoon. The holidaymaker says that they were sick for three days of their honeymoon, with one of the couple being so ill they were put on a drip and diagnosed with gastroenteritis.
