Royal Albatros, Nabq Bay
The International Personal Injury team at Irwin Mitchell have been contacted by a family who stayed at the Royal Albatros Hotel in Nabq Bay, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt in July 2014. The family reported suffering from symptoms of sickness, diarrhoea and stomach cramps which started a few days into their all-inclusive holiday. They sought treatment from a doctor in resort and were given medication and one member of the family had to be put on a drip. Unfortunately some members of the family have yet to make a full recovery.
Despite positive reviews of the hotel, the family reported being served meat and fish that appeared undercooked. They also say they noticed that some of the hot food was not piping hot and the cold food did not seem well chilled, and that some food appeared to have been re-heated or re-served. The family also noticed on occasions there were flies seen on some of the food. Some holidaymakers have also complained about the lack of variety and found the choice of food repetitive. Other British holidaymakers have also reported suffering from similar symptoms during their holidays at the Royal Albatros.
