Royal Albatros Moderna Hotel, Sharm El Sheikh
Irwin Mitchell has received reports of gastric illness amongst holidaymakers after staying at the Royal Albatross Moderna Hotel, in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, during June and the beginning of July 2010.
It is reported that holidaymakers became ill possibly due to the poor food hygiene standards at the hotel. Complaints from guests suggest that the hotel restaurants are serving poor quality food in busy, overcrowded restaurants. Concerns have been intensified after reports suggest that almost 80 per cent of the guests staying at the hotel have contracted symptoms of illness.
Irwin Mitchell is concerned to learn of such events, particularly as we have acted on behalf of holidaymakers who holidayed at the same hotel in 2005 and 2008. There are clearly issues relating to food hygiene at the hotel and we are horrified to learn that these long standing issues are continuing at the hotel.
