Sea Gardens Resort
Irwin Mitchell’s international personal injury specialists have been contacted by holidaymakers after they contracted gastric illness and E. coli whilst staying at the Sea Gardens Resort, in Egypt, during September and October 2015.
The guests’ symptoms included abdominal pain, diarrhoea, fever and weight loss, which required hospitalisation.
The visitors noticed that a lot of the food served at the resort’s restaurant appeared to be lukewarm, uncovered and left out for long periods of time. The holidaymakers reported that on occasions the chicken was undercooked and served pink in the middle. They also expressed that flies were often seen on and around the food in the restaurants.
