Illness At The Sonesta Pharoah Beach Resort

Irwin Mitchell are concerned to learn of recent reports of illness at the Sonesta Pharaoh Beach Resort, Egypt.

Despite positive reports, a number of holidaymaker who stayed at the hotel this year stated that they had “salmonella food poisoning”. One holidaymaker reports the that some of the food was “unacceptable”  and that they were diagnosed with Salmonella food poisoning. Another holidaymaker also reports having “salmonella” and being “in a lot of pain”, having to spend several days in their hotel room. They describe their holiday as the “holiday from hell”.

Salmonella infections usually result from a combination of contaminated foods, poor hygiene and inadequate or poor preparation and cooking of food. The bacterium are found particularly in poultry, eggs, unprocessed milk, meat and water. Salmonella food poisoning can often be serious and in some instances even fatal and can lead to long term health complications such as IBS.

If you also travelled to this hotel and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of gastric illness, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
