Stella Makadi Resort, 2015

The International Personal Injury team at Irwin Mitchell is concerned to learn that guests staying at the Stella Makadi Resort in Egypt have become ill with gastric symptoms following visits this year.

Despite some positive reports, holidaymakers have reported that food was served cold and a chef was observed handling raw chicken and then immediately touching fresh pasta without washing his hands. Other guests have claimed that on occasion, “salad and fruit were brown and stale.”

Health and hygiene issues have been reported, a visitor claim that “the pols contained algae” and another guest claiming that he “cut his hand in the pool.” It has also been suggested that a holidaymaker lost weight as a consequence of their two week all inclusive holiday because of their gastric symptoms.

If you have also travelled to the Stella Makadi Resort in Egypt and subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness, or sustained an injury, we would like to hear from you.

For more advice on making a holiday illness claim, contact us on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will call you back.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
