Verginia Sharm Resort, 2015
Irwin Mitchell’s international personal injury experts are concerned to learn that guests became ill with gastric symptoms after staying at the Verginia Sharm Resort, in Egypt, during August and September 2015.
Despite some positive reviews, holidaymakers have reported that on occasions, flies were seen landing on food and the fish was sometimes served jelly-like and undercooked. Another guest suggested that the cake selection that was available at lunch was very similar, if not the same, as those served the evening before.
Visitors at the resort also raised other food related concerns including dishes being left uncovered despite lids being present, hot dishes being served lukewarm and new food being poured over the food that was already in trays.
Issues have also been raised relating to the quality of the hotel’s rooms. Visitors described that the fridge in their room had black mould around it.
Guests have reported suffering from symptoms including diarrhoea, stomach cramps and tiredness, with some still experiencing illness upon their return home.
If you have also stayed at the Verginia Sharm Resort and subsequently experienced symptoms of illness, we would like to hear from you.
