Irwin Mitchell’s specialist International Personal Injury team is concerned to hear of a holidaymaker falling ill with symptoms of gastric illness whilst staying at the Apollonion Resort & Spa, Greece in September 2016.
Our International Personal Injury team have been contacted by a holidaymaker who suffered gastric illness during their stay the Apollonion Resort & Spa. She reported hygiene concerns regarding the food at the resort - for example, food was served lukewarm and was left out for long periods of time. She was especially concerned to see flies sometimes on the raw eggs used to make the breakfast omelettes.
She further reported cleanliness issues elsewhere, such as ants crawling in the bathroom and bedroom. The holidaymaker reportedly suffered severe stomach pain, diarrhoea, vomiting and abdominal pain during her stay at the resort.
