Despo Hotel, Crete

Irwin Mitchell’s International Personal Injury team has been contacted by holidaymakers who experienced illness following their stay at the Despo Hotel, in Crete, during September and October 2015.

The guests suffered from gastrointestinal illness, with symptoms including diarrhoea and abdominal pain.

Their reports have suggested that on occasions, food served such as the fish in the hotel restaurant appeared to be lukewarm, undercooked and re-used.

It was also expressed that there was a strong smell of sewage in the holidaymakers’ hotel room and they observed nappies floating in the hotel’s swimming pool. Guests further reported that the hotel’s public toilets, which were located next to the restaurant, flooded on one occasion.

If you have also travelled to the Despo Hotel in Crete and subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness or sustained an injury, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of this nature, would like to hear from you.
