Salmonella Outbreak at the Iberostar, Benitses, Corfu
Irwin Mitchell has been approached to act for holidaymakers who stayed at the Iberostar Hotel in Corfu in June 2010, where at least 2 holidaymakers have now been diagnosed with Salmonella.
The holidaymakers have told us that they suffered with gastric symptoms including vomiting, diarrhoea and stomach cramps. They were also aware of other holidaymakers who were staying at the hotel at the same time and who suffered from similar symptoms. The holidaymakers have complained about the food hygiene standards and general cleanliness of the hotel. Cats and insects were often seen in and around the restaurant. Certain foods seemed to be undercooked on occasion and the omelettes in the morning were frequently a bit runny. Hot food was not always properly hot and it appeared that food was been left out for long periods of time.
