Limak Arcadia Golf Resort, 2017

The International Personal Injury Team at Irwin Mitchell are concerned by recent reports of guests falling ill with gastric symptoms during holidays taken at the Limak Arcadia Golf Resort, Greece in September 2017.

Illness has been reported with one member of a family being diagnosed with suspected E-coli after seeking medical attention on their return to the UK.

There are different strains of E-coli which can be caught by eating infected food or drink, such as raw leafy vegetables, undercooked meat, or raw milk products. There is also a high risk form cross-contamination so good hygiene measures are essential to help prevent the spread of infection.

The most common symptoms of an E. coli infection are diarrhoea, blood in poo, vomiting, stomach cramps, and fever.

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in the stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness we know first-hand the potential long term effects that can be associated with such illness, with sometimes permanent long term complications arising such as Post infective Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

If you have also travelled to the Limak Arcadia Golf Resort in Turkey and subsequently fallen ill, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
