Morfos Apartments Skiathos, 2016

We've received a report of illness from a holidaymaker who stayed at the Morfos Apartments in Skiathos, Greece, in May 2016.

The tourist says he fell ill during his holiday, first suffering headaches, then feeling hot and shivering. When he came home he had to seek medical attention as he was still suffering with symptoms of sickness.
He was admitted to hospital for five days: blood samples confirmed he was suffering from Legionnaires' disease.

Legionnaires' disease is a form of pneumonia which is usually spread by contaminated water droplets passed through air conditioning units and similar systems. The main symptoms are fever and coughing, muscle pain, diarrhoea, headaches, and even some mental confusion.

Our team has successfully represented victims of such illness outbreaks, recovering compensation for thousands of people both at home and abroad.

If you also travelled to this resort and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of gastric illness, we'd like to hear from you. We specialise in dealing with cases like this and you could be due compensation for the pain and distress you suffered.

For more information on making a holiday illness claim, contact us on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will call you back.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
