Royal Belvedere Hotel, Crete

Specialist international personal injury lawyers from Irwin Mitchell have been contacted by holidaymakers who became ill whilst staying at the Royal Belvedere Hotel, in Crete, during August 2015.

The guests have reported suffering from gastrointestinal illness with symptoms including abdominal pain, diarrhoea, vomiting and weight loss.

The holidaymakers suggested that the food served at the hotel’s restaurant appeared to be left out for long periods, with new food being added to old food and sometimes dishes such as the chicken being served undercooked.

It has also been reported that the hotel swimming pool water was cloudy with mould growing around the edges of the pool.

International personal injury lawyer, Jennifer Mullins, said: “It is worrying to hear that other holidaymakers may have experienced similar problems during their stay at the Royal Belvedere Hotel. We would urge anyone else who has suffered problems to get in touch as they may be able to help with our investigations.”

If you have also travelled to the Royal Belvedere Hotel in Crete, and subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness, we would like to hear from you.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
