Irwin Mitchell is concerned for holidaymakers staying at the Aston Bali Beach Resort and Spa, in Bali after receiving reports of holidaymakers falling ill with symptoms of suspected food poisoning. A recent report relates to a honeymoon taken in March 2011.

It has been alleged by holidaymakers that the food blender used for preparing cocktails did not appear to be clean. It has also been reported that there was mould on the bathroom walls and there was a strong smell of sewage around the hotel.

It is reported that a guest staying at the hotel collapsed shortly after the onset of severe diarrhoea and vomiting. A doctor was called and it is said that the cause was food poisoning, possible due to the poor standards of hygiene at the hotel.
