Mar Hotel Alimuri, 2015

The International Personal Injury team at Irwin Mitchell is concerned to learn that guests fell ill with gastric symptoms whilst staying at the Mar Hotel Alimuri, in Italy, between July and August 2015.

Despite some positive reviews, holidaymakers have reported that some of the food was re-served and described that there was often a layer of scrambled/boiled egg in the lasagne. Other guests claimed that on occasions, cold meats and cheeses were left on an open table with no refrigeration or ice to keep the items cool.

Visitors have also raised concerns regarding safety issues at the resort. One guest suggested that there was black mould around the edge of the pool.

A number of guests have stated that they became ill whilst staying at the hotel, experiencing symptoms including diarrhoea and stomach cramps. One couple reported continuing to suffer with symptoms upon their return to the UK.
