Club Hotel Riu Negril, Bloody Bay, Negril

Expert travel litigation lawyers at Irwin Mitchell are concerned to receive reports of an outbreak of gastric illness at the Club Hotel Riu Negril in Jamaica.

Reports on consumer website Trip Advisor suggest that guests, including a 40 strong wedding party have been suffering from diarrhoea and sickness and a number of guests have been hospitalised as a result. Reports also suggest that some guests have been infected with both Ecoli and Salmonella. Such infections can leave permanent symptoms including an alteration of bowel habit, stomach pains and irritable bowel syndrome.

Despite a number of positive reviews, guests have complained of food that appeared to be undercooked and pest control was said to be an issue with feral cats being observed in the grounds of the hotel and cockroach infestations in both the hotel restaurant and hotel rooms. The swimming pools was also said to be an issue with reports of a grey scum on the surface of the water.

If you have also suffered from symptoms relating to gastric illness or even abroad on holiday, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you.
