Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa, Montego Bay

Irwin Mitchell is concerned for the wellbeing of holidaymakers travelling to the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa, in Montego Bay, Jamaica, after learning reports of holidaymakers suffering from symptoms of gastric illness.

It is reported by holidaymakers who stayed at the hotel in April 2011 returned from the resort suffering from symptoms of severe stomach cramps, diarrhoea, dehydration and fever.  Investigations will need to be conducted to ascertain the cause of the illness which may have been contracted from the resort.

Upon seeking medical attention, one victim of illness was confirmed to be suffering from Salmonella infection. Salmonella is a severe form of food poisoning often caused by the lack of health and hygiene procedures practiced when handling food. The bacterial infection will often result in symptoms of diarrhoea, stomach cramps and lethargy and can also cause severe permanent symptoms.

It is possible that a breakdown in food hygiene and handling procedures may have resulted in the illness amongst holidaymakers.

Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you if you have suffered from gastric illness after staying at this hotel.
