Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort, Montego Bay, Jamaica 

Expert lawyers at Irwin Mitchell are concerned to receive reports of gastric illness at the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort, Montego Bay in Jamaica, with the most recent reports from holidaymakers staying at the resort in May and June 2012.
Guests have reportedly fallen been suffering from symptoms including, but not limited to, diarrhoea, vomiting and fever.

Food at the hotel was said to be “terrible” and left uncovered for prolonged periods of time. Pest control was said to be a real problem at the hotel with a number of complaints being about the flies and birds in the restaurants. Guests also observed hotel staff carving meat without any gloves and then wiping their brow. Food such as fruit was not appropriately chilled and was “warm”. The dishes used in the restaurant were said to be “old and chipped”. The swimming pool water was also to said to be dirty.
Customer service standards at the hotel are reported to be below standard with many complaints about the restaurant and bar staff in particular. The housekeeping service was also said to be poor, with reports of guests having to complain to get their rooms cleaned. Security was also said to be an issue with a number of guests having their valuables stolen.
