Illness outbreak at Merrils Beach Resort in Jamaica

Irwin Mitchell have received reports of illness amongst guests holidaying at the Merrils Beach Resort II, Negril, Jamaica – October 2011

It has been suggested by holidaymakers that the food provided at the hotel was below par and that it was very repetitive, serving curried goat for seven nights in a row. One holidaymaker has reported how they fell ill with symptoms related to food poisoning, possible contracted due to a breakdown in food handling and hygiene procedures at the hotel.
