Barcelo La Galea Costa Hotel, Lanzarote
Irwin Mitchell are concerned for holidaymakers who have recently travelled to the Barcelo La Galea Costa Hotel, Lanzarote, after reading reports of gastric illness amongst holidaymakers. Most recent reports are from March 2012.
Holidaymakers have reported the hotel looking like a bomb site and how they were allocated rooms which overlooked an alleyway and rubbish, which sat above the kitchen. Holidaymakers have also reported the food was poor, that it was served cold and left out for several hours. It may be due to this breakdown in food hygiene and food handling procedures that caused the illnesses contracted.
One holidaymaker has reported being confined to his room because of illness and being unable to lift his head from his pillow. Worryingly, it has been reported by the same holidaymaker that he was robbed during the night due to his room having a faulty door.
If you also travelled to this resort and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of gastric illness or sustained an injury, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you.
