Iberostar Cala Barca Hotel, Majorca
The International Travel Litigation Team at Irwin Mitchell has received reports of illness at the Iberostar Cala Barca Hotel in Majorca in April 2012.
Reports suggest that the food was served at an insufficient temperature and appeared undercooked. Further complaints suggest that the food was often left out for long periods of time and tasted recycled. Reports indicate that holidaymakers suffered symptoms including diarrhoea, abdominal pain and vomiting. It has also been suggested that guests have returned home and are still suffering with ongoing symptoms. It is believed that the illnesses contracted by holidaymakers could have been a result of poor food hygiene standards practised at the resort.
