Irwin Mitchell are currently acting for guests who have suffered from gastric illness following their stay at the Velassiru Resort, Velassiru from 31 January 2010 to 11 February 2010.
Guests at the hotel have suffered with symptoms of gastric illness, with confirmed cases of Salmonella which are likely to be linked to food consumed as part of an all inclusive package.
There have been complaints from guests which suggest that there was a breakdown in health and hygiene standards. Reported complaints amongst others have included food, such as scrambled eggs and omelettes being undercooked, food being served uncovered and birds and insects being seen in the restaurant and kitchen area.
The Defendant, Emirates Tours, are currently investigating matters.
