Illness at Legends Resort, Mauritius
Irwin Mitchell currently act for 2 holidaymakers who are proceeding with claims following a holiday to the Legends Resort in Mauritius.
The couple had arranged to go on their honeymoon to the Legends Resort. However, after arriving at the hotel one of them fell ill suffering from symptoms of diarrhoea, vomiting and abdominal cramps and was later diagnosed with Salmonella.
The couple were not warned prior to travelling to the Legends Resort that there was a problem with illness at the hotel.
The couple have stated that parts of the Hotel were inadequately maintained. Guests complained that the staff were unhygienic, the food area was dirty, there were cracked tiles in the swimming pool and the rooms were not cleaned properly.
Guests also complained that the food served at the Hotel looked undercooked, underheated and sometimes appeared recycled. Guests recall eating chicken which they did not regard as adequately cooked.
