Irwin Mitchell are concerned to hear that holidaymakers have been falling ill with gastric symptoms at the Azul Sensatori Hotel, by Karisma in Mexico.

Despite positive reviews of the hotel online, Irwin Mitchell's International Personal Injury team is also aware that some holidaymakers have fallen ill following their stay at the hotel. Holidaymakers have reported that they have suffered with gastric symptoms including abdominal pain, diarrhoea and vomiting. It has also been reported that a wedding party of 70 guests stayed at this hotel in July 2016 and that 50 of the guests developed various gastric symptoms both during and after their stay. It is concerning to note that some guests reported that they were diagnosed with Cyclospora by their GP upon their return to the UK.

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools.
