Catalonia Riviera Maya, July 2017

The International Personal Injury Team at Irwin Mitchell are concerned to have been approached by a client who reports falling ill with gastric symptoms during holidays taken at the Catalonia Riviera Maya in Mexico during July 2017.

The client became ill with gastric symptoms including diarrhoea and stomach cramps while staying at the resort.

Despite positive reviews of the resort online, we have learnt of holidaymakers claiming that “cups are not washed properly” and that they occasionally saw “food from earlier service being re-used."

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in the stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness we know first-hand the potential long term effects that can be associated with such illness, with sometimes permanent long term complications arising such as Post infective Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

If you have also travelled to the Catalonia Riviera Maya in Mexico and subsequently fallen ill, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you.

For more advice on making a holiday illness claim, contact us on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will call you back.
