Grand Bahia Principe Tulum Hotel, Mexico, June 2016

We are concerned to hear reports of guests falling ill with gastric symptoms while on holiday at the Grand Bahia Principe Tulum hotel in Mexico in June 2016.

Despite positive reviews of the hotel online, our International Personal Injury team have been instructed by holidaymakers following their stays at the hotel. A family of holidaymakers have reported that they all suffered with gastric symptoms including abdominal pain, diarrhoea and vomiting.

During their stay at the hotel, the holidaymakers noticed that the food was occasionally exposed to flies and served lukewarm. The holidaymakers also reported how pest control was not managed well as they witnessed animals such as racoons in the kitchen area on a few occasions.

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness, we know first-hand the potential long term conditions that can be associated with it, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

If you also travelled to the Grand Bahia Principe Tulum hotel in Mexico and subsequently suffered symptoms of illness, we’d like to hear from you. We specialise in dealing with cases of this nature and could help you claim compensation.

For more advice on making a holiday illness claim, contact us on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will call you back.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
