We’re concerned to learn of recent accounts of guests falling ill with gastric while on holiday at the Grand Oasis Palm in Mexico in February 2016.
Despite some positive reviews of the hotel, we’ve also heard reports from guests who fell ill during their stay there. One person remarked that “some of the food sits out all day during both lunch and dinner”. Another holidaymaker recounted occasions where “undercooked fish…cold sausages” were served. Several visitors say they fell ill with gastric symptoms: in one instance, an entire group of thirteen was taken ill.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. We have significant experience helping those unlucky enough to contract gastric illness while on holiday. We’re very aware of the complications that can develop because of such illness, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The effects can sometimes develop into a problem that is long-term, or even permanent.
