Irwin Mitchell have been contacted by a holidaymaker who has suffered illness during an all inclusive holiday at the Grand Sirenis, in Mexico during a holiday taken in August 2013. 

The British holidaymaker suffered a very unpleasant illness, including symptoms of diarrhoea and stomach cramps early on in his holiday. He sought treatment from the doctor in resort, who then placed him on an IV drip. He was extremely dehydrated and remained ill for the rest of the holiday, which was severely disrupted and he has continued to experience symptoms on return from holiday.

Despite some positive reviews, one holidaymaker described the food at the hotel as “disgusting” and others have described some food which was greasy and bland and not very hot. Other holidaymakers have also reported dated decor and a damp smell in their hotel room, as well as unfriendly and unhelpful staff.
