Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya, 2016

Our International Personal Injury team is currently representing a family who became ill during their stay at the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya hotel in Mexico this summer. We're concerned to hear of other guests also suffering gastric symptoms while on holiday there during July and August.  
Though the hotel has enjoyed some positive reviews online, our expert lawyers have been instructed by guests who became ill following a stay there. The family reports that they all suffered with gastric symptoms including abdominal pain, diarrhoea and vomiting - which meant their holiday was completely ruined.

During their stay at the hotel, they noticed that the food was occasionally undercooked; on one occasion they were served chicken which was pink in the centre. At other times, they noticed flies on the food and were aware that much of the cutlery and crockery had not been properly cleaned. They were worried about chipped tiles around one of the swimming pools, on which one of them injured their toe.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools.
