Hola Grand Faro Los Cabos Hotel, San Jose, Mexico – November 2011

Irwin Mitchell is concerned for holidaymakers who have recently holidayed at, or are due to stay at the Hola Grand Faro Los Cabos Hotel, San Jose, in Mexico after receiving reports of illness amongst guests staying at the hotel in November 2011.

It has been reported by one holidaying party that four out of the five of them fell ill towards the end of the holiday, experiencing symptoms of diarrhoea and severe stomach cramps. Upon their return to the UK, their symptoms were so bad that they had to seek treatment from their GP. They were put on antibiotics to treat the gastric illness.

Whilst the holidaymakers are unsure as to what may have caused their illnesses, it is possible that a break down in food hygiene and handling procedures could have resulted in the illness. The holidaymakers suggested that the service at the hotel significantly diminished when large wedding parties arrived at the hotel.
