Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun
Irwin Mitchell has learnt that a number of holidaymakers staying at the Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun in Mexico are returning from their holidays complaining of severe gastric illness. Most recent reports of illness are from February 2012.
Holidaymakers have complained that the food was served undercooked and recycled food was displayed uncovered for long periods of time. It is reported that guests suffered from symptoms including diarrhoea, vomiting and stomach cramps. As a result of the guest’s symptoms, they were confined to their hotel rooms for up to 3 days.
It is alarming to learn that such problems exist at the hotel. The gastric illness suffered by guests at the hotel could be a result of a breakdown in food hygiene procedures and poor standards.
